14U B Fastpitch Softball Team - Maryland Black Ice

Head Coaches: Mike Leatherwood & Sergey Gurevich

Mike Leatherwood is the varsity coach of Bryn Mawr School and has been a travel coach since 2010. He was the 2022 recipient of the Garro Cup, an award given to a person for their dedication to the school, their team, and their sport, while coaching with honor and sportsmanship. Mike has coached both his daughters in travel ball and watched them play collegiately at Notre Dame of Maryland University.

Sergey Gurevich has more than 25 years of experience coaching basketball, baseball (MABA), and softball at both recreational and travel levels. Over the past 10 years, he has focused primarily on softball, coaching with organizations including Maryland Stars 12U B, Maryland Heat 14U B, and Gold Coast Hurricanes 18U A as a defensive and pitching coach. He aims to develop players who dream of taking their softball careers to the next level, whether in high school or college. Outside of coaching, Sergey's hobbies include sports, music, fishing, painting, and traveling.
